2023 Chevy Silverado New Engine

The 2023 Chevy Silverado introduces the new available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine, delivering an impressive 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque – 28 more horses than the most powerful engine previously offered! When equipped with two-wheel drive, this engine can tow up to 13,300 pounds with ease!

The new Duramax engine will be available on select 2023 Chevy Silverado trim levels, including the following:

• Custom Trail Boss
• LT
• RST 
• LT Trail Boss
• LTZ 
• High Country 

These options are also available, ensuring your new ride comes with an engine that perfectly meets your needs.  

• 2.7-liter L3B turbo I4 inline engine 
  Produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. If upgraded to the 4×4 option, this engine boasts a 9,000-pound towing capacity.  

• 5.3-liter L84 EcoTec3 V8 engine 
  Delivers 335 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This beefy engine comes standard with an eight-speed automatic two-wheel drive or a 10-speed with four-wheel drive. 

• 6.2-liter L87 EcoTec3 V8 engine 
  This larger option offers the most power of Chevy’s gas-powered trucks – 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque!

The base Work Truck (WT) trim comes with all your favorite basic features, like 17-inch steel wheels, vinyl seats, a rear bumper corner step, semi gloss bumpers, and more! The Custom trim adds some more comfort features to the cabin, like a 10-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, front and rear USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Starting at the LT trim, you’ll find an upgraded dashboard design that includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a massive center touchscreen.

The ZR2 trim, designed for off-roading, comes equipped for adventure with Multimatic DSSV dampers, front and rear Elockers, skid plates and rugged 33-inch mud terrain tires. The High-Country trim takes a more luxurious approach, adorning its interior with leather upholstery, wood trim accents, and heated front and rear seats. You’ll enjoy functional features as well, like a spray-in bedliner, camera with a view of your pickup truck’s bed, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
