How Does Super Cruise Work?

Super Cruise technology enables hands-free driving on more than 200,000 miles of roads throughout the U.S. and Canada, working in tandem with Chevrolet Connected Services to maintain control and add confidence to your commute. Not yet a fully autonomous system, Super Cruise is designed to assist drivers with an active OnStar service plan with emergency services. After three years of functionality, new Chevy drivers are required to purchase a Super Cruise plan.

This advanced tech system relies on vehicle sensors, real-time cameras, GPS, and LiDAR map data to keep your vehicle centered in its lane and on track to its destination. Working with adaptive cruise control, Super Cruise allows you to set a following distance and speed. Select Super Cruise-equipped models include automatic lane change and trailering capabilities on even more miles of roadways – over 400,000 miles! Be sure to take advantage of other driver assist features like lane keep assist with lane departure warning, collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, and more!

How Much Does Super Cruise Cost?

Super Cruise pairs with the Technology Package, available on popular pickup trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado – with the 6.2L V8 L87 gas engine or the 3.0L I6 LZ0 Duramax turbo diesel engine. Note that it cannot be added on vehicles with the Max Trailering Package. Super Cruise is available on the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country for just $2,200.
